This is the IB bulletin board that accompanies our Animal Unit. The board not only identifies the form, connection, and responsibility, of our unit of inquiry but also is interactive for students. As they learn about features of animals that adapt them for each environment, they can choose to add drawings of each animal to the appropriate habitat as a "May Do". There are always several "May Do's" around the class for students to complete when they have completed a task early or need an additional challenge. The labels are determined by the information in our IB Unit planner, and the habitat cutouts are made freehand from construction paper.
